ILIP’S EXPORT SALES MANAGER MAURO STIPA AMONGST THE SPEAKERS OF THE GLOBAL BERRY CONGRESS
The convention dedicated to berry market will be held in Rotterdam, from 23 to 25 March
BOLOGNA (16 March 2015) – Mauro Stipa, ILIP’s Export Sales Manager of Fresh Produce Packaging, will be one of the speakers at the Global Berry Congress, the international convention dedicated to berries, organised by Market Intelligence, one of the leading publishing house of news and information on the international fresh produce business. The congress will be held from 23 to 25 March, in Rotterdam.
Mauro Stipa will give his presentation in session 6, Tuesday 24 March, starting at 2 p.m.. The lecture is titled “Tech talks: its role in developing consumer demand”. The debate will focus on the role played by technology in guaranteeing better quality berries within the supply chain.
This is a central issue in ILIP’s action, which is also committed to offering innovative products that add value to the packaged product, all the while helping reduce waste throughout the supply chain. This is why the company has started working jointly with university research centres, and it was the first packaging company to adhere to Save Food, an initiative of FAO and Messe Düsseldorf to fight food waste.
“The berry category is very challenging in terms of product integrity and protection during transportation and at the sales points”, comments Stipa. “We’re rising up to these challenges with our range of TS heat-sealable punnets, designed specifically for this kind of produce and which has given very positive results since it was launched in 2013”.
“Rotterdam’s event”, continues ILIP’s export sales manager, “will be an important networking occasion, not only in terms of sales but also to exchange opinions and updates on the trends of a sector on which us, as a company, have been focusing”.
ILIP will also have its own stand at the Global Berry Congress, and will support the event as Supply Chain Partner.
