JONATHAN BALDWIN APPOINTED NEW AREA MANAGER FOR THE UK

The announcement was made at Fruit Logistica: the fresh produce and food service packaging company will now have a direct presence in the UK market

BERLIN (4 February 2015) – Jonathan Baldwin will be the new Area Sales Manager & Business Development Manager for ILIP, European leader in the thermoformed plastic packaging sector, according to an announcement made today during Fruit Logistica in Berlin.

Following the success of their recent expansion into the Spanish market, the Bologna-based company – which is already represented in the UK through its long-standing distributor Associated Packaging – will be able to count on the experience of their new Sales Manager to interface directly with clients.

In fact, Jonathan Baldwin comes from 6 years of working as a Business Development Manager precisely at Associated Packaging, in the specialised fruit and vegetable packaging area. During his previous position, Jonathan worked closely with UK retailers. His activities also included being involved in development projects designed to cut costs and environmental impact in distribution by reducing the weight of packaging.

Jonathan Baldwin, ILIP’s new UK Area Sales Manager & Business Development Manager, commented that: “I am very happy about the period spent at Associated Packaging, were I learnt alot about market demand. As Area Sales Manager, Jonathan will be responsible for consolidating and developing the position held by ILIP in the fresh produce packaging market, while as Business Development Manager he will be looking to open towards new markets in the Food service packaging sector.
