ILIP presents LIFE+ at INTERPACK and MACFRUT. A new gold-medal packaging system at the innovation awards
The company will be presenting its new packaging system to Düsseldorf, where it is a partner in the Save Food project. From 10 May, ILIP will be at the Rimini trade exhibition
VALSAMOGGIA (4 May 2017) – ILIP continues with its full schedule of trade exhibitions, presenting Life+, the innovative packaging system that improves product shelf life thanks to the synergy between active pad, unvented heat-sealable punnet subjected to a special anti-mist treatment in order to prevent fogging and heat-sealed laser-perforated film.
Life+ will be presented during the Stage Program of Interpack, the Düsseldorf packaging trade exhibition (4-10 May). ILIP will be taking part of the Innovationparc (Hall FG, stand IPP4) as a member of Save Food, an initiative of Messe Düsseldorf and FAO that brings together the actors of the production process to institute initiatives in order to fight food waste. As it protects product freshness, weight and characteristics, Life+ has a concrete impact on this issue, as will be explained by Luigi Garavaglia, ILIP’s R&D Manager, during the Stage Program on Sunday 9 May, at the 14:35 and the 15:00 sessions.
From 10 to 12 May it will be the turn of Macfrut, the International Produce Exhibition at the Rimini Expo Center (Hall B3, stand 075), where Life+ will be one of the protagonists of the Macfrut Innovation Award. This packaging system has been awarded a gold medal in the prestigious award by L’Informatore Agrario and Cesena Fiera for the most significant technical innovations in terms of environmental and economic sustainability and improvement of product quality. The gold medal was awarded to Life+ by a jury made of experts in the sector. The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday 10 May at the Agorà Macfrut, South Hall entrance, at 14:30.
Macfrut will also be attended by Darren Percy, ILIP’s new Area Sales Manager for the UK, nominated a few days ago.
“Life+ has been gathering substantial positive reactions from our partners and from the sector in general”, comments Roberto Zanichelli, ILIP’s Sales & Marketing Director. “This is proof of the impact our project will have on product shelf life and on the maintenance of freshness when it comes to delicate products, such as berries, strawberries, cherry-tomatoes and grapes, on which tests have been very successful.”
After Interpack and Macfrut, the company will be at the European Tomato Forum, in Düsseldorf on June the 1st and 2nd.
