Agribologna chooses ILIP for the “I Cotti” line

SLIPTRAY is the packaging of the new products from the Bologna-based group’s ready-to-eat range

VALSAMOGGIA (BO) – 30 December 2020 – The Agribologna Consortium has chosen ILIP’s SLIPTRAY to package the new products of the “I Cotti – Questo l’ho fatto io” (“Cooked Products – I made this myself”) line, dedicated to ready-to-eat cooked vegetables.

SLIPTRAY is the first hybrid plastic and cardboard punnet used to package premium fruit and vegetables: it is an innovative, sustainable solution with the maximum capacity to communicate the product to the consumer. The inner punnet, in this case created from Polypropylene, made 30% lighter thanks to the ILIP Eco-Design, protects the product keeping it preserved and visible, while the outer cardboard support keeps the packaging in place, whilst also allowing for communications to be printed on it. The packaging is fully recyclable as the two components can be easily separated.

The new products of the Agribologna “I Cotti” line include baby potatoes, cherry tomatoes, vine tomatoes, courgettes and bell peppers, packaged in modified atmosphere (MAP). The punnet can also be used in the microwave to heat the packaged product.
